Bio

I'm a Mechanical Engineering Doctoral Researcher at Swansea University, studying the circular approach of on-body renewable energy generators. For my undergraduate and subsequent masters dissertation I studies the application of printed electronics in hypothermia treatment. My masters dissertation titled "Design, manufacture and evaluation of a heated blanket for treatment of hypothermia" investigated using printed carbon heaters (developed at the Welsh Centre of Printing and Coating at Swansea University for the Team GB) in a lightweight, packable heated blanket to be powered from a 12 V socket in a lifeboat, ambulance or helicopter.Over the duration my degrees I've worked extensively with Solidworks, MatLab, Ansys and 3D printing. I have also gained experience in power generation energy policy, additive manufacturing and composites, and modelling of systems.

Outside of Uni I play guitar in a covers band and naturally I have a passion for music. I enjoy being outside, experiencing new places, keeping fit and being environmentally conscious.
