JAMES POWELL

Mechanical Engineering Postgraduate
Swansea University

Bio

I'm a Mechanical Engineering Masters student at Swansea University.
For my Undergraduate dissertation I researched the application of printed nano-carbon heaters as an active reheating system for Search and Rescue teams. This involved designing and producing a proof of concept demonstrator using heaters previously developed at Swansea University, design and conducting experiments to evaluate the performance and suggesting further work.
Over the duration my degree I've worked with Solidworks, MatLab, Ansys and 3D printing.

Outside of Uni I play guitar in a covers band and naturally I have a passion for music. I enjoy being outside, experiencing new places, keeping fit and being environmentally conscious.
